A great fragrance is a powerful thing. It can make you feel put together on a big day, put you in a good mood, and even make people remember you { like me, I usually forget people names but not fragrances}.
What
is the difference between EDT, EDP, and Parfum?
Everyone
that started their perfume journey will eventually stumble upon these words but
what is the difference between EDT, EDP, and Parfum?
So,
simply it is the different amount of concentrated perfume oil in perfume.
For
more detailed information about these types of perfumes, you can read
below….

EAU FRAICHE
“Fraiche” means Fresh in English and pronouncing it as
“Fresh” is correct. It is the perfume with the lowest amount of concentrated
perfume oil. Perfume with the tag “Eau Fraiche” normally is cheapest among “EDT
or EDP” which naturally has more concentration of perfume oils. Yes!, the cost
of the perfume also depends on the concentration of perfume oils in it.
Eau
Fraiche doesn’t last long on the body. Now you must be wondering why would
anyone want to buy this type of perfume. There is still a large demand for it
mainly because Eau Fraiche perfume is the freshest among others.

Eau
de Cologne (EDC)
“Cologne”
means perfume. EDC means a lesser
concentrated perfume than EDT. Eau de Cologne perfume is not as generic
as the rest and often EDC type perfumes are usually the classic ones.
Eau
de Cologne has little more concentration than Eau Fraiche. EDC perfumes are
usually cheaper than EDT but not as cheap as Eau Fraiche ones.
One can expect up to 6 hours of perfume
longevity out of this type of perfume and course perfumes tend to last
longer on clothes.

Eau de Toilette (EDT)
EDT
is the most famous one among all the above simply because all the perfumes are
resolved around Eau de Toilette as it stands in the middle between all of them
and this also means the best cost per concentration of perfume oil.
EDT
perfumes usually are more affordable than EDP, but one should never take
lightly of an EDT perfume simply because the concentration is lower than EDP.
An Eau de Toilette perfumes typically
lasts up to 8 hours and 12 hours on clothes.

Eau de Parfum
(EDP)
EDP
perfumes are more expensive than EDT but the perfume typically tends to last
much longer which is up to 10 hours and this certainly justifies the price
being higher than EDT. Eau de Parfum or EDP is the 2nd most concentrated among all.
The
same as for Eau Fraiche. Eau de Parfum perfumes normally are much stronger and
not everyone could stand the smell of a strong perfume and you certainly would
not want to use an overly strong perfume on any tight spot or public places.
One
can expect EDP to lasts 10 hours on skin and 16 hours on clothes.

Parfum
Parfum
contains 15 ~ 40% concentrated perfume oil in it making it the most concentrated
of all perfume types.
This
is also the reason it is the most pricey among all of them. this category of
perfume can be explained in simple clear words that are “purest concentrated
form of perfume oils”.
Parfum lasts up to 12 hours
and of course, having this perfume to last over a day on clothes is something
to be expected.
